Global rollback for Gumruch
- Global user: Gumruch (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
- Not ending before 6 April 2020 18:11 UTC
Hello, I have a global account since 2008. I am a sysop on cs-wiki and regular cross-wiki contributor flagged with editor/autopatrolled/autoreview rights on 11 other wikis. Global rollback would be usefull for me as I usually check global contributions of local vandal IPs. I have read and understood the rollback rules. Thank you. Gumruch (talk) 18:11, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- GUC doesn't show a big recent cross-wiki activity. Most global contributions are not related to xwiki patrol. Could you please give me some examples? —Sgd. Hasley 18:32, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose In the last six months, I count less than 5 reverts outside of your home wiki. Global rollback is for users "who make heavy use of revert on many wikis"; your request rationale reads that you are requesting the right to help you revert global edits on the off-chance a local vandal has also vandalized elsewhere. While your work is appreciated, undo or user scripts are sufficent in this case. ~riley (talk) 18:33, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose NOTNOW. Good intention but way too early. We need to know that candidates know what vandalism in other languages they don't speak or read looks like and the only way is a track record where we can see your reverts in many other wikis. I know you are easily trusted, a mid size wiki sysop (we had a recent elected an excellent steward coming from your wiki) as well as multiple rights. I will say now is the demonstrated need component that needs to be shown. I will hope you are not discouraged and take some time doing actual reverts and come apply say in a month or two, and I will be happy to support then.Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 06:51, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

- Weak oppose, I was about to give weak support because this user is a prolific crosswiki editor, then I check this user edit on 6 wiki, most of them are just gnome stuff, this user never have the experience reverting edits on language he doesn't know. Nor have the experience identifying subtle vandalism (article modification and creation) done on many language that done by LTA/Crosswiki spammer, nor have the experience reverting semi legit spam in many language.--AldnonymousBicara? 00:44, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Aldnonymous and Hasley:Checking watchlists, RCs and IPs contributions sometimes just takes time and brings no edits… Sometimes I am outrun by a SWMT patroller. I hope I have language skills to detect xwiki vadalism or consult local editors via IRC. Rollback rights would be useful for me on ±6 projects and it would be easier than make requests locally (but eg Czech Wiktionary does not allow such level, just autoconfirmed user or sysop). Maybe I have not been active recently to meet the criteria. No stress I can cope with it :) Thanks for your time anyway. Btw it is a bit disappointing when xwiki contributing and having so different right levels. Global autopatrolled flag would be useful if exists… Gumruch (talk) 10:51, 6 April 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose Too low xwiki experience. If it gets higher I would support you in a few months. --Esteban16 (talk) 04:13, 6 April 2020 (UTC)

Global interface editor for ~riley
- Global user: ~riley (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
- Discussion: Hi all, in the last week I have been working on fixing hardcoded Mediawiki:Sidebars on projects that fall within the GS set (Ex. 1, Ex. 2, Ex. 3). I have fixed dozens of harcoded sidebars so far but there are more to be fixed on wikis outside of the GS set with some of the initial changes being made over 10 years ago. Updating these hardcoded sidebars allow users to read the sidebar in the language set in their user preferences rather than in the wiki's native language. Additionally, I have been doing translations of non-standard items so that English users can still read the sidebar to find resources such as the community noticeboard/forum. I meet the global user page requirements and have 2FA enabled. I don't plan to use these permissions for anything else. I have experience with interface-editor as part of the GS skillset and being an interface admin on Commons. ~riley (talk) 08:03, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

Global abuse filter maintainer for Xaosflux
- Global user: Xaosflux (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
- Discussion: (see below)
- Not ending before 11 April 2020 00:41 UTC
Hello all, now that Abuse filter maintainer has gone live following the recent vote, I'm throwing my hat in the ring. I've been an abuse filter editor on enwiki for many years, and have also been active here. I'm currently a global abuse filter helper and have used this to help consult with filters on other projects. It would be easier to be able to directly assist other projects on request (such as this request from sqwiki this week). While I do not enter code changes, I am active on phab regarding discussions in this area. I have 2FA enabled, and have identified to the foundation already. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you for your consideration. — xaosflux Talk 00:41, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

Global interface editor for Joanmp14
- Global user: Joanmp14 (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
Hello everyone, I am requesting this permission in order to improve the Wikipedia [1] and Wiktionary [2] interfaces in the Tigrinya language and I want to help these wikiprojects prosper and be more recognized for their respective speakers. I have created the localized Wikipedia [3] and Wiktionary [4] logos for this language and would like to make them public, I also plan to create more logos for this language for other Wikimedia projects in the future. I have experience and knowledge with the CSS mechanism. Thanks, --Joanmp14 (talk) 00:53, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Joanmp14: I think you are looking for m:SRP where I moved your request. Given you only need it for two wikis, I would recommend you make to individual requests for the two wikis you wish them for. I already filed your ti.wikipedia request for you. -- Amanda (aka DQ) 23:57, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose with 643 global edits, and not holding advanced permissions on any project this would be a very excessive permission. — xaosflux Talk 05:13, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose You are doing fantastic work, but these are dangerous permissions that require a level of trust and tenure that needs to be demonstrated before they can be granted. As indicated by DeltaQuad, requests can be made on a wiki by wiki basis where needed. ~riley (talk) 05:16, 5 April 2020 (UTC)
