Steward requests/Global permissions
This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.
Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

Hi, same context as the request below. I'm back and global rollbak tools will continue to be useful. Thanks and open for questions. Regards, Rafael (stanglavine) msg 18:15, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

- Support Welcome back, GR/GS might be (as permissions of some risk) better to be turned in when inactive with the proviso that should they be coming back, it will not be too hard to regain unless the resignation is under a cloud. No issues with me, thanks for volunteering again. Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 15:36, 31 May 2020 (UTC)

Global sysop for Stanglavine

I was once a global sysop for a while but resigned due to lack of availability. Now, I return and request the tools again because they are very useful in my work here. The reasons can be found in my first request. Open to questions and thank you for your attention. Rafael (stanglavine) msg 18:12, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

Global rename for 蟲蟲飛
- Wiki: meta.wikimedia.org (list 'crats • bot policy • summary • 'crats rights)
- User: 蟲蟲飛 (talk • edits • logs • UserRights • activity • CentralAuth • email • verify 2FA)
I am an active administrator on the zhwiki. Acording to zhwiki Username policy, Misleading usernames, Disruptive or offensive usernames and Promotional names will be blocked, but they may change their usernames, then administrator can unblock the user. However there are no active users have global rename flag on the zhwiki, and some new users don’t know how to come here to request for rename. I would like to request global rename flag, so that I can help more. I also want to help more on meta.wiki--May♡♡→♡℃※Talk 03:32, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

- Support Per the usual standard that I use, if we can have some help from the sysop blocking the account to rename, why not. Which is why I am supportive of these perms to be bundled into +sysop toolkit for large wiki sysops (like en, ar, and in this case zh). Just to note that there are around 3 sysops at zh having the permission of GRename, so there shouldn't be a backlog for zh requests (and a few other renamers who understand zh). So what I hope is that these users can be more active (one of the last time we have a GR who got their rights removed for inactivity and then asked for it back, okay they are yet quite inactive). This is not a commentary based on anyone, but the belief that anyone asking for rights should be expected to use those rights (rights are not hats etc). Global rename for Hamish
- Wiki: meta.wikimedia.org (list 'crats • bot policy • summary • 'crats rights)
- User: Hamish (talk • edits • logs • UserRights • activity • CentralAuth • email • verify 2FA)
- Not ending before 16 June 2020 07:23 UTC
I'm very sorry to parallel this request, which is somewhat nonsense and inappropriate at this time, with another request from my wonderful colleague here. And I know it's only around 2 weeks since my GRo. But, honestly, I should have posted my application days ago, but I saw active Sotiale on our rename request page, hence the postponement. However, I think I need stand out and request to help local rename request, as well as for cross-wiki. I have comprehended the policys above and I consider I can handle the permission. Regards, Hamish 07:23, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

- Support Seeing what I mentioned recently, it makes me feel like a celebrity? :P I've been processing requests on zhwiki with my poor Chinese skills, but sometimes when I receive a request from a blocked user, I thought it would be better if someone familiar with local policy would handle. I have received Hamish's rename request and processed the request several times, and I think Hamish will be able to perform the rename requests smoothly for zh community. --Sotiale (talk) 13:50, 2 June 2020 (UTC)

2FA Tester for N219
- Global user: N219 (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
I read at the rfc on expanding 2FA opt-in that this right can be granted globally now by the stewards, and I'd like to enable it. I have read Help:Two-factor authentication, understand, and have the requisite personal devices. The need is twofold: 1) I have some advanced permissions on idwp such as rollbacker and editor, and 2) access to my account via password reset has been attempted recently, thanks, -- Nokōriノコーリ「令和2年6月4日01時15分59秒」 16:15, 3 June 2020 (UTC)
