This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback, global sysop, global rename, …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

Oppose sorry, but your global account is less than two months old, you have less than 1500 edits globally, and no rollback rights on any of the 5 projects you've edited (each of those projects has a local group with rollback rights). Generally, global rollbackers should have experience with rollback rights, and be active with cross wiki vandalism and/or patrolling small wikis (Small Wiki Monitoring Team). --DannyS712 (talk) 07:37, 27 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Let me encourage you, I feel that there's enough opposes. I am glad to see you asking for the right, however, the global community will need to see track record which demonstrate that you are safe enough to hold such advanced rights. First, join SWMT and patrol crosswiki more often, and only revert when you are sure if you don't speak the language (i.e. clear vandalism), afterwhich, for some larger wikis you might ask for local rollback rights if you are undo/reverting there often, then after say 6 months later, check in here and with a good record, I think we will not hesitate to support you. The aforesaid user comes from China and has to access Wikimedia projects through proxies. I communicated with them via email, and granted them local IPBE on Chinese Wikipedia, but they also wants to edit other projects like English Wikipedia. The proxy IP is globally blocked including meta so I'm requesting GIPBE here for them.
