This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback, global sysop, global rename, …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.
This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.
Successful global rollback requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion, successful global renamer requests require no fewer than 3 days (if the user is a bureaucrat) or 2 weeks (if the user is not a bureaucrat or if valid concerns are raised), while successful global sysop discussions require no fewer than 2 weeks.

Requests for global rollback permissions

Please be sure to follow the instructions below:
Your request might be rejected if you don't follow the instructions, and not doing so would reflect poorly on your suitability.
Please also review the Global rollback policy.
Instructions for making a request

Before requesting, make sure that: You have sufficient activity to meet the requirements to be allocated the global rollback flag

To make a request
Copy the template below to the bottom of this section and explain of why you need the access and why you're suitable.
=== Global rollback for {{subst:u|{{subst:REVISIONUSER}}}} ===
{{sr-request
 |status    = <!-- don't change this line -->
 |domain    = global <!-- don't change this line -->
 |user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
::''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+5 days}} UTC''

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions , no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.

Global rollback for !dea4u

Hi, I would like to apply as a global rollbacker to assist fellow wikimedians. I notice lot of vandalism works going on different wikis & hence wish to preserve the wiki culture. Thanks for your consideration.( !dea4u  08:14, 17 April 2015 (UTC))[reply]

  • Oppose Oppose No crosswiki experience, only 4 wikis with more than 10 edits. No history of reverting edits on more than 10 wikis.--AldNonymousBicara? 10:03, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Oppose I'm sorry but as Ald mentioned i'd also like to see crosswiki experience/reverts. ~ Nahid Talk 10:08, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Oppose per above. Activity is rather concentrated on Commons and English Wikipedia. Insufficient crosswiki experience. Will reconsider at a later date. Jianhui67 talkcontribs 10:20, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Oppose per above.No crosswiki experience Grind24 (talk) 10:39, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Oppose No cross-wiki experience. --Matiia (talk) 21:04, 17 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    • Thank you all for sharing heavenly insight, Oh; i forgot Wikipedia is owned by guys from rich & developed country named America. Who always wants things to be under their control & suppress others. Lot of Discrimination. When earlier, users told me i ignored them about this, But now it's me. How will you guys let a guy from poor developing country to flourish or establish here in Wiki. It was my bad experience, I wasted my precious time here. Bad Luck. Kudos to you guys. You Won. ( !dea4u  04:14, 18 April 2015 (UTC))[reply]
      • You'll be interested to know that only one of the people who has voted here is from America; the rest are from all around the world. You are not being discriminated against for being from a developing country, people are raising concerns with a lack of cross-wiki experience. If you look through the archives of this page, you will find all sorts of requests being declined for that reason - from requestees that were born in developed countries and not. You haven't wasted your time here; if you become involved with the SWMT and become active globally, there will be no reason why you cannot be a global rollbacker. But please don't throw around accusations of discrimination when that is clearly not happening here. Regards, Ajraddatz (talk) 04:21, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    @!dea4u: Stop that drunk comment, I am from Indonesia, South East Asia, a developing country, I am superbly offended when you are saying I am "one of those" who like discriminate people, rather than counter criticizing us, why don't you give us the prove of your crosswiki contributions?--AldNonymousBicara? 04:39, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Indeed. I agree with Ajraddatz and Aldnonymous. We are not here to discriminate people. We are here to give opinions. We have nothing against you as an editor as we are just pointing out why you are not qualified to be a global rollbacker now due to your insufficient crosswiki experience. I suggest you retract your comments. Jianhui67 talkcontribs 04:48, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    @!dea4u: You do not need the right to revert vandalism, and nobody is discouraging you from doing so. Have you read the criteria for the granting of global rollbacker? This is a reactive granting of a right where a user demonstrates crosswiki activity in responding to spam and vandalism. The right is not a pro-active granting of the right to someone who wishes or proposes to undertake the activity. The comments above reflect the opinion of your request based upon the policy approved by the community for the granting of the right. The communities where you are active separately grant the right that you are seeking.  — billinghurst sDrewth 07:32, 18 April 2015 (UTC) (another not from America)[reply]
  • Support Support! Don't let this request get you down, you can still revert vandalism without this tool, it's only a button! In the meantime, you can use Twinkle. Keep an eye on #cvn-swconnect, and don't give up on anti-vandalism just because of this. There's always a need for vandal fighters! Message me if you have any questions :) Caliburn (talk) 18:15, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose Oppose No cross-wiki experience. --Uğurkenttalk 20:12, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • I urge everyone to stop opposing, it is obvious that this request will not succeed at this time. In former times it was usual to give advice how to be active in SWMT without GR rights on requests like this, instead of opposing and insulting the requester who is obviously new to global rights requests. --MF-W 23:56, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    I agree with MF-W quite strongly here. While the comments above by the candidate regarding alleged country-discrimination are not good (probably a heated reaction, AGF), this request is obvious at this stage that will not pass and continue opposing when the user has already been told why they is not going to have it is not helping. When voting templates were not allowed here (this is still not a vote) people left comments on the suitability of the candidate or lack of it, something that people seems to forget nowadays, probably me included, just leaving a meaningless template as if that were enough. That practice was much more user friendly. Caliburn's approach is probably what candidates need instead. People is of course free to continue commenting here while this request remains open, but I feel there's no more need to "punish" the candidate this way. They just offered to help, we should not scare them off, specially when we need more help. Thanks. -- M\A 15:19, 19 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Global rollback for rxy

I resigned all status on WMF wikis in 23 Oct 2014 for busy in real life. but now I want return to SWMT work because I has free time. GR tool is useful for SWMT work. if my request are approved, I can work for SWMT like before. Thanks--Rxy (talk) 13:32, 20 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

add global-interface-editor for Jitrixis

I was an ex-sysop on wikidata and I've made some script on it like labelLister, autoEdit, etc... So I'm skilled in Mediawiki's Javascripts. Recently I've seen a bug on many project who support the rename title script for unsupported title. It rename the title seen on the page but not the title of the tab on the browser that is also a SEO mistake. Maybe in the futur I can find some other bug and issue I can resolve on common script, so it will be usefull for me to get this right. Is that possible ? Thanks in advance, Cordialy, --Jitrixis (talk) 10:44, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Unfortunately, I can't understand your request. You saw a bug in a global script (wherever that is located)? Then you should edit that global script or make an editrequest on the talk page wherever that script is. Likewise if you "maybe" find other bugs in scripts, you should edit or request them to be edited accordingly at their locations. --MF-W 13:19, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    @MF-Warburg: This is not really a bug, it's just a missing feature in the code which make an little SEO problem (non correspondant of the title tag and the subject). The code is located on many wikis on Mediawiki:Common.js, but the problem is recurrent on different wikis like "en" and "fr" wikt, "en" and "fr" wikp, and maybe on others.
    Then I'm a developer so I solve problem by my self, and I'm not a global admin because I don't need those tools, but sometimes I see bugs on protected scripts or someones send me issue about scripts so those tools can help me to do this job instead of delegating the job to someone else. And of course i'm not a barbarian, if I change the way a scripts works I will request it before ;) Cordialy, --Jitrixis (talk) 00:01, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Question Question: SEO Mistake?--AldNonymousBicara? 15:52, 10 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    @Aldnonymous: en:SEO explained above :) Cordialy, --Jitrixis (talk) 00:01, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
    Exemple: wiktionary:fr:Titres_non_pris_en_charge/Signe_inférieur_à the title on the top of your browser isn't the corrected title, so if you search on google the inferior sign you need to type this request ([2] which appear on the top with a weird title) and actually google is able to undertand script, so according to SEO recommendation we also need to change the title of the page (title tag) at the same time we change the title of the article (first level title). And another small lack, there is no message "Title to use to create an internal link" (in french "Titre à utiliser pour créer un lien interne") like here w:fr:1 E18 s, but that's not an SEO problem and also a different kind of problem. --Jitrixis (talk) 00:19, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Global abusefilter-helper for MoiraMoira

The following request is closed. Please do not modify it. No further edits should be made to this discussion.

When being active with cross wiki vandals as a global sysop trying to find patterns, modus operandi and names/prhases used I encounter limitations not being able to see filtered edits. I have to ask stewards to view a filter for me via IRC and that is not handy when investigating. So I would be helped with the tool to be able to do my work fighting cross wiki vandals as a global sysop better. Thank you. MoiraMoira (talk) 14:57, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
