[edit] Wikipedia and You - How to Edit, Upload and Read!
This is the organisation page for the Wikipedia Editing Day on the 12th of November at Manchester Digital Laboratory in conjunction with Manchester Girl Geeks. This will be a structured event where there will first be a talk given on the basics of Wikipedia. After that however, we are looking for volunteers to:
- Assist members of the public in using Wikipedia (including creating their accounts and making their first edits)
- Teach members of the public how to correct errors on Wikipedia (sometimes in a way that ensures a lack of COI)
- Teach members of the public how to critically assess articles
- Teach members of the public how to upload images under a free license
