This page is for requesting CheckUser information on a wiki with no local CheckUsers (see also requesting checkuser access). Make sure to follow the following instructions, or your request may not be processed in a timely manner.

Before making a request:

  1. Make sure you have a good reason for the check. It will only be accepted to counter vandalism or disruption to Wikimedia wikis. Valid reasons include needing a block of the underlying IP or IP range, disruptive sockpuppetry, vote-stacking, and similar disruption where the technical evidence from running a check would prevent or reduce further disruption.
  2. Be specific in your reasons. Ambiguous or insufficient reasons will cause delays. Explain the disruption and why you believe the accounts are related, ideally using diff links or other evidence.
  3. Make sure there are no local checkusers.
  4. Please ensure that the check hasn't already been done:

How to make a request

How to make a request:

  • Place your request at the bottom of the section, using the template below (see also {{srcu}} help).
    === Username@xx.project ===
    {{CU request
     |status          = <!--don't change this line-->
     |language code   =
     |project shortcut=
     |user name1      =
     |user name2      =
     |user name3      =
    <!-- Max 10 users -->
     |discussion      = [[Example]]<!-- local confirmation link / local policy link -->
     |reason          = Reasons here. ~~~~
    }}

    For example:

    === Example@en.wikipedia ===
    {{CU request
     |status          = <!--don't change this line-->
     |language code   = en
     |project shortcut= w
     |user name1      = Example
     |user name2      = Foo
     |user name3      = Bar
    <!-- Max 10 users -->
     |discussion      = [[:w:en:Example]]<!-- local confirmation link / local policy link -->
     |reason          = Reasons here. ~~~~
    }}

  • Specify the wiki(s) you want to perform the check on.

 It looks like a duck to me. See contribs on meta. They can be friends, family members or the same user. However, it is meaningless to distinguish whether it is meat or sock by investigation. --Sotiale (talk) 13:12, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, sure. I was just wondering if there's more accounts to check for copyvios but if they can be friends, family members or the same user, I agree that it's meaningless to check. SHB2000 (talk | contribs) 22:09, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@SHB2000: Checkuser is to investigate the relationship between accounts, so sleeper check is only possible under very limited conditions. Have previous socking abuse logs, LTAs creating multiple accounts, etc. In this case, the sleeper check is difficult because the relationship between these two accounts is predictable and their previous abuse logs cannot be found separately. If you have other evidence or suspicions, please request again. --Sotiale (talk) 00:28, 16 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

RAMSES$44932@ro.wikipedia

@Gikü: Hi. Can you explain a bit more what a similar editing pattern is? This includes editing fields and the same pages, etc. --Sotiale (talk) 11:50, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Sotiale: Hi, of course, examples of edits that in my view follow a similar pattern are:
Hope this helps. Gikü (talk) 13:21, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Confirmed Mikechirco and RAMSES$44932

From a technical point of view. --Sotiale (talk) 13:45, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Just noticed ro:Special:Diff/14740563 – Mikechirco basically confirms with their own words they are Ramses under a different account. Could've used this shortcut. Thank you for your quick help! Gikü (talk) 14:52, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

AzeWEB@az.wikipedia

In progress… --Martin Urbanec (talk) 15:06, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Possible Possible @Toghrul R: I'm unable to find enough evidence to reach a conclusion. CheckUser shows that the two users might be connected, but there's not enough evidence to confirm that. --Martin Urbanec (talk) 15:19, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Martin Urbanec thank you! Toghrul R (talk) 15:22, 17 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
