Affiliate Recognition and Derecognition: This past quarter, AffCom recognized no new Affiliates due to the pause in recognizing new affiliates.
AffCom Conflict Intervention: AffCom is currently addressing eight ongoing affiliate conflict cases received in previous quarters.
Affiliate Recognition Pause Extension: The Wikimedia Foundation, together with the AffCom, has extended the pause on new affiliate recognition until September 1, 2026.
New Affiliate Model Development Efforts: The Affiliations Committee held collaborative meetings with the Global Resource Distribution Committee (GRDC) to explore the development of a new affiliations model.
Towards a Healthy Ecosystem of Wikimedia Organizations: Two major pilot initiatives were launched to address long-standing questions about the roles of movement organizations and the future of resource allocation.

Komisia pre pridružené organizácie je komunitná komisia poverená radiť Správnej rade Nadácie Wikimedia v oblasti schválenia pridružených organizácií hnutia: národných a subnárodných pobočiek, tematických organizácií a skupín používateľov.
Komisia bola vytvorená 15. januára 2006 uznesením Správnej rady Nadácie Wikimedia spolu s niekoľkými ďalšími komisiami Wikimedie. Pôvodný mandát zahŕňal koordináciu vývoja pobočiek Wikimedie— ktoré boli v tom čase v ranných fázach organizácie — a tiež zabezpečovanie komunikácie medzi pobočkami a medzi pobočkami a Nadáciou Wikimedia.
V roku 2012 po diskusii komunity , ktorá vyústila v uznesenie Správnej rady Nadácie Wikimedia sa účel komisie rozšíril, aby zahŕňal tematické organizácie a skupiny používateľov. Nasledujúc uznesenie Komisia pripravila návrh, svojich stanov, ktoré boli oficiálne schválené Radou v auguste a tým sa dokončil prechod na Komisiu pre pridružené organizácie.
Komisia pre pridružené organizácie radí Správnej rade pri uznaní, odsúhlasení a existencii pridružených organizácií hnutia Wikimedia, pomáha pri vytváraní týchto organizácií. Inými slovami, Komisia pomáha Wikimediánom z celého sveta sebaorganizovať sa do pobočiek, tematických organizácií a skupín používateľov a získať oficiálne uznanie zo strany Nadácie Wikimedia.
Vieme Vám pomôcť v procese vytvárania Vašej organizácie pomáhaním s prípravou stanov, odpovedaním otázok o tom, čo Nadácia očakáva od afiliácie, poskytovaním pomoci a poradením pri riešení bežných technických, administratívnych problémoch a problémoch s ochrannými známkami a budovaním komunít a —pokiaľ je to vhodné—ods hlásim limitovanej finančnej pomoci na začatie Vašich aktivít (ako napríklad registračné poplatky a spustenie počiatočných projektov).

The Affiliates Committee comprises volunteers selected for their enthusiasm and their skills in community organising, cross-cultural communication, reviewing bylaws, and providing governance advice for emerging organisations. There are currently 9 (nine) voting members with terms of three years each.
Voting members of the Committee are helped by non-voting advisors. Advisors provide the Committee with on-the-ground experience, language skills, and governance advice, and are able to take part in discussions at subcommittee meetings.
Certain Wikimedia Foundation staff members support the Committee in its operations and help the Committee to function effectively. They are actively present on the Affiliations Committee's non-public mailing list and internal wiki, and may provide advice to the Committee based on their knowledge and expertise. They are not voting Committee members.
The Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees appoint liaisons to the Committee to facilitate communication and coordination between the Committee and the Board. The liaisons shall be the Committee's primary point of contact with the Board, and shall serve to update the Board on the Committee's activities and update the Committee on relevant Board activities. They may request information related to the Committee's operations as necessary to carry out their role. They are not voting Committee members.
