Affiliate Recognition and Derecognition: This past quarter, AffCom recognized no new Affiliates due to the pause in recognizing new affiliates.
AffCom Conflict Intervention: AffCom is currently addressing eight ongoing affiliate conflict cases received in previous quarters.
Affiliate Recognition Pause Extension: The Wikimedia Foundation, together with the AffCom, has extended the pause on new affiliate recognition until September 1, 2026.
New Affiliate Model Development Efforts: The Affiliations Committee held collaborative meetings with the Global Resource Distribution Committee (GRDC) to explore the development of a new affiliations model.
Towards a Healthy Ecosystem of Wikimedia Organizations: Two major pilot initiatives were launched to address long-standing questions about the roles of movement organizations and the future of resource allocation.

El Comitè d'Afiliacions (anteriorment conegut com a Comitè de Capítols, col·loquialment AffCom) és un comitè dirigit per la comunitat Wikimedia encarregat d'assessorar la Junta Directiva de la Fundació Wikimedia sobre l'aprovació de nous afiliats al moviment: capítols nacionals i subnacionals, organitzacions temàtiques i grups d'usuaris.
El Comitè es va crear el 15 de gener de 2006 per una resolució de la Junta Directiva, juntament amb diversos altres comitès de Wikimedia. El seu mandat original incloïa la coordinació del desenvolupament de capítols de Wikimedia, que en aquell moment es trobaven en una etapa inicial de l'organització, així com la facilitació de la comunicació entre els capítols i entre els capítols i la Fundació Wikimedia.
El 2012, després d'una discussió comunitària i de la resolució de la Junta Directiva resultant, l'abast del Comitè es va ampliar per incloure les organitzacions temàtiques i els grups d'usuaris. El Comitè d'Afiliacions fa recomanacions a la Junta sobre el reconeixement, l'aprovació i l'existència d'afiliats al moviment Wikimedia i per facilitar la creació d'aquestes organitzacions. En altres paraules, el Comitè ajuda els wikimedistes de tot el món a autoorganitzar-se en capítols, organitzacions temàtiques i grups d'usuaris, i obtenir el reconeixement oficial de la Fundació Wikimedia.
Podem orientar-vos durant el procés de fundació de la vostra organització i ajudar-vos a preparar els estatuts, respondre a preguntes sobre el que la Fundació espera d'un afiliat, proporcionar ajuda i assessorament per resoldre problemes tècnics, de marques comercials, administratives i comunitàries habituals i, si és adequat, aprovar un suport econòmic limitat per iniciar les vostres activitats (com ara cobrir els costos de registre i executar els projectes inicials).

The Affiliates Committee comprises volunteers selected for their enthusiasm and their skills in community organising, cross-cultural communication, reviewing bylaws, and providing governance advice for emerging organisations. There are currently 9 (nine) voting members with terms of three years each.
Voting members of the Committee are helped by non-voting advisors. Advisors provide the Committee with on-the-ground experience, language skills, and governance advice, and are able to take part in discussions at subcommittee meetings.
Certain Wikimedia Foundation staff members support the Committee in its operations and help the Committee to function effectively. They are actively present on the Affiliations Committee's non-public mailing list and internal wiki, and may provide advice to the Committee based on their knowledge and expertise. They are not voting Committee members.
The Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees appoint liaisons to the Committee to facilitate communication and coordination between the Committee and the Board. The liaisons shall be the Committee's primary point of contact with the Board, and shall serve to update the Board on the Committee's activities and update the Committee on relevant Board activities. They may request information related to the Committee's operations as necessary to carry out their role. They are not voting Committee members.
