This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback , global sysop , global rename , …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

Requests for global rollback permissions

Please be sure to follow the instructions below:
Your request might be rejected if you don't follow the instructions, and not doing so would reflect poorly on your suitability.
Please also review the Global rollback policy.
Instructions for making a request

Before requesting, make sure that: You have sufficient activity to meet the requirements to be allocated the global rollback flag

To make a request
Copy the template below to the bottom of this section and explain of why you need the access and why you're suitable.
=== Global rollback for {{subst:u|{{subst:REVISIONUSER}}}} ===
{{sr-request
 |status    = <!-- don't change this line -->
 |domain    = global <!-- don't change this line -->
 |user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
::''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+5 days}} UTC''

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions , no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.

Global rollback for נריה קלר

Not ending before 27 March 2021 15:20 UTC
I tour all the little sites, and permission will help me. נריה קלר (talk) 15:32, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @נריה קלר:, you do not need global rollback to "tour" the sites or perform basic antivandalism (the Undo tool is available). GR is normally for users who already have some experience in reverting cross-wiki vandalism. Leaderboard (talk) 15:35, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I know I do not have to, but it's more convenient. This permission can not be harmful (especially for a contributing user), and I ask that you change the vote. נריה קלר (talk) 15:37, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@נריה קלר: In practice, undo works well enough for reverting vandalism (as someone who does occasional crosswiki anti-vandalism). The community normally requests some experience in this field before requesting global rollback (which is the reason I haven't applied for it). If you want to take this route, SWMT is a helpful place to start. Leaderboard (talk) 15:41, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I'm already using it, but much more convenient that I can recover easily, because I before I restore the corruption I click on "difference", and then it is consumed. נריה קלר (talk) 15:47, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done. Withdrawn by requestor. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 15:52, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

}}
:''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+2 week}} UTC''

Global IP block exempt for PeterZF

It would be helpful if I could edit again with my company notebook which seems to use the global IP range 163.116.178.0/24 and remarks 'no open proxies'. Thanks. --PeterZF (talk) 18:05, 22 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Global IP block exempt for SodhakSH

My current IP address is 89.163.214.101 and the blocked range is 89.163.128.0/17, so I am unable to edit. I am able to edit this, through an alternate IP. It would be really helpful if a global IP block exemption can be granted. Thank you. 🔥शब्दशोधक🔥 04:09, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

From what I've found out, this is being caused by a VPN I use and the IP geolocates to Germany per https://whatismyipaddress.com/ip/89.163.214.101. I would, however, still use a VPN for staying safe on the internet, so a Global IP block exemption would be useful. 🔥शब्दशोधक🔥 07:18, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
