Personal info: Hi! I have served as a Steward for the last few years, as well as acting as an administrator and bureaucrat on the English Wikipedia and an administrator on Wikimedia Commons. I have not been as active this year as I intended to be or should have been for the benefit of the projects; this is something I would like the opportunity to rectify in 2018.
I continue to be somewhat concerned with the lack of progress that has been made with the projects. We don't have good answers to editor burnout, harassment, data reuse (outside of Wikidata, and to some extent, Commons), source material / URL archiving, or cross-project coordination. These are not problems for the Stewards to fix, that is the community's job, but I would hope the Stewards could work to encourage those efforts and share our institutional knowledge.
I recognize that I am not the most active or technically-savvy steward to make these suggestions, but I think I still have something to give in performing steward duties and supporting the community.
