This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback , global sysop , global rename , …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions , no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.

Whenever I see spam or suspected xwiki vandalism or abuse on my home wiki, I always go on CA or GUC to revert it, then report users to SRG and links to the global blacklist. Am not part of small wiki monitoring team or anything but I still think the tool would be useful for me so I'd like to try it. I've been a sysop at my home wiki for three years almost, and a patroller here at Meta for some time. EstrellaSuecia (talk) 08:59, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

While all input is welcome, there is a hard 80% support requirement for this role as per the global renamer policy.

Global rename for Blua lago

As a long-time editor and trusted user, I’d like to volunteer for the global rename permission; I sense that I could be of help in handling global rename requests, especially those on my local wiki’s rename page. As there is currently only one Hungarian-speaking global renamer, I believe the Hungarian community would greatly benefit from another helping hand. Initially, it was proposed by FoBe that I should take on the duties of GRN -- this was followed by a request for comment by him on our local village pump on Huwiki, where the community overwhelmingly supported the idea of me requesting the permission. Global rename for TheAafi

Hello, I am an eliminator on ur-wiki and a global permissions VRT agent. I am a translation administrator on several wikis including here. On ur-wiki, I can delete/undelete, block/unblock users etc. apart from having another advanced permissions such as editing main page, editing cascade-protected pages. The only global renamer from ur-wiki has not edited since more than four months and has performed last rename on 6 November 2022.
