This page is for requesting CheckUser information on a wiki with no local CheckUsers (see also requesting checkuser access). Make sure to follow the following instructions, or your request may not be processed in a timely manner.

Before making a request:

  1. Make sure you have a good reason for the check. It will only be accepted to counter vandalism or disruption to Wikimedia wikis. Valid reasons include needing a block of the underlying IP or IP range, disruptive sockpuppetry, vote-stacking, and similar disruption where the technical evidence from running a check would prevent or reduce further disruption.
  2. Be specific in your reasons. Ambiguous or insufficient reasons will cause delays. Explain the disruption and why you believe the accounts are related, ideally using diff links or other evidence.
  3. Make sure there are no local checkusers.
  4. Please ensure that the check hasn't already been done:

Reason(s): (not sure how to fill language code and project shortcut parameters in this case) Someone is expected on incubator that those 3 accounts pointed to one man, but after that they don't know how to confirm that, I asked that user that this is the correct page if a project hasn't local Checkusers, but they still don't know how to request so. Just use incubator in language code form and empty project shortcut/use wikimedia in project shortcut form. And I refrain this request myself to avoid COI in the project, so I ask other stews to handle it. --Sotiale (talk) 12:50, 30 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Reason(s): Pratap Pandit was active on Meta.Wikimedia until 21 June,[1] and he was blocked as a sockpuppet of BabbarJatt on Wikipedia as seen here. This new account Guy Foxx was registered on 7 August and makes same edits as the concerning blocked socks.[2][3] Aman.kumar.goel (talk) 03:21, 31 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sotiale But checkuser cannot be used on English Wikipedia on this user since his earlier socks were blocked more than 90 days ago. But since he was active on Meta Wikimedia about 70 days ago it is well possible that Meta can successfully run a checkuser and compare "Guy Foxx" with "Pratap Pandit". Reason(s): As per policy, any local sysop can request for this if there is any suspect or problem. Since, These accounts are trying to make a promotional page of hi:साकेत कुशवाहा. All above are involved in this page only. May be these are not sockpuppet but it looks like as they are involved in promotion. @संजीव कुमार: Hello, संजीव कुमार. Could you please explain again what you mean? If you don't think sockpuppets, why did you post this request to SRCU? @Sotiale: I suspect and I think so. But I wrote another sentence because I may be wrong as human can make mistakes. I didn't check for xwiki spam but yes they are doing promotion on hiwiki.
