This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback , global sysop , global rename , …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

Requests for global rollback permissions

Please be sure to follow the instructions below:
Your request might be rejected if you don't follow the instructions, and not doing so would reflect poorly on your suitability.
Please also review the Global rollback policy.
Instructions for making a request

Before requesting, make sure that: You have sufficient activity to meet the requirements to be allocated the global rollback flag

To make a request
Copy the template below to the bottom of this section and explain of why you need the access and why you're suitable.
=== Global rollback for {{subst:u|{{subst:REVISIONUSER}}}} ===
{{sr-request
 |status    = <!-- don't change this line -->
 |domain    = global <!-- don't change this line -->
 |user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
::''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+5 days}} UTC''

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions , no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.

:''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+2 week}} UTC''

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than two weeks (no exceptions are allowed no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential. Please note: Since 2019 all global sysops are required to have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled.

Global sysop for Atcovi

Hi. I wanted to request the global sysop rights a couple of weeks from now rather than at this time in order to fully ensure that I will be active from now on - but upon urges from some well-established colleagues, this and this, I've came to the conclusion that it is better for me to request my global sysop rights back. There is simply a lot of cleanup that needs to be done in a lot of wikis that I would love to help out in. I've also thought carefully about my activity and I can assure all of my fellow editors that I've officially returned back to standard activity. I hereby request the community's trust again for the global sysop toolkit. Thanks! —Atcovi (Talk - Contribs) 02:01, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Global rename for Albertoleoncio

Not ending before 4 November 2020 20:22 UTC

We are facing a backlog of rename requests on ptwiki and I would like to help fulfilling those requests in a better timeframe. I am a sysop and a interface admin on ptwiki and I have a modest cross-wiki experience due to the bot I operate. ━ ALBERTOLEONCIO Who, me? 20:22, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Global rename for Jo Lorib

Not ending before 4 November 2020 22:05 UTC

We are facing a backlog of rename requests on ptwiki and I would like to help. Sysop on ptwiki since 2007, user since 2006. Jo Lorib (talk) 22:05, 21 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Global rename for DarwIn

Not ending before 6 November 2020 14:07 UTC

For the same reason as Albertoleoncio and Jo Lorib: We are facing a backlog of rename requests on wiki.pt and I would like to help. I'm a sysop on Commons and wiki.pt for years, member of the OTRS team and quite active in filter monitoring at wiki.pt, origin of many of the renames request I place myself on new editors with invalid account names, which are contributing to the backlog.--- Darwin Ahoy! 14:07, 23 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

CAPTCHA exemptions for Vova WIFI

I work in some other sections where I don't have "skipcaptcha"rights yet. I have ~1650 edits in ruwiki. I am engaged in nominating files for renaming in the German and Ukrainian sections, as well as correcting links, which triggers the CAPTCHA check. I will not add spam to articles. Thanks, Vova WIFI (talk) 11:44, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Vova WIFI: you've become autoconfirmed on ukwiki and dewiki, are you still having this problem there? — xaosflux Talk 14:45, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
In one of the two sections above, I get (or received) a CAPTCHA even when setting the template. Anyway, I'm always looking for new wiki projects where I can make a difference. It takes too long to enter a CAPTCHA every time, especially since I sometimes have problems with it. Vova WIFI (talk) 16:57, 29 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You have the local right in both projects. Why are you applying for global rights to these wikis?--𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 👤💬 07:35, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@WikiBayer:, I'm going to come to other sections. Vova WIFI (talk) 08:54, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nowiki, for example, requires a captcha. Vova WIFI (talk) 10:06, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Vova WIFI: Why exactly do you need this exemption? What rationale do you have for wanting this exemption? --Martin Urbanec (talk) 02:16, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Martin Urbanec:, I want to make useful small edits in different projects. Some places require a captcha. But I'm sorry to waste my time. That's why I need these rights. Vova WIFI (talk) 07:15, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Global Abuse filter helpers for WikiBayer

I apply for this right so that I can search logbooks easier and faster. As Meta Admin I can access logs of global filters, but I can only do this in GSwikis and Meta itself. If I want to access logbook entries e.g. in, cswikisource, frwikinews or enwikiquote. I always have to search the complete logbook with all wikis to access the entries. This is impractical and complicates my work unnecessarily. I often use Special:AbuseFilter/233, Special:AbuseFilter/72, Special:AbuseFilter/69 and other filter with private logs.--𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐢𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 👤💬 09:27, 30 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
