Global rollback for Kostas20142
- Global user: Kostas20142 (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
- Not ending before 2 April 2020 22:09 UTC
I have been active (again) for the last few months in xwiki patrolling, and having this permission would be useful for me. I am a rollbacker in various projects and Wikidata sysop (since early march). I have read and understood the relevant policies. --Kostas20142 (talk) 22:09, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
- Support Checking their contributions, there is more than sufficient activity, trustworthiness, and responsibility to grant the tool. Thank you for volunteering, Vermont (talk) 23:44, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
- Support No concerns - contribs look good and their activity is consistent enough for the tool. Although recent, trusted admin on a larger project. ~riley (talk) 23:48, 28 March 2020 (UTC)

Global rollback for Gumruch
- Global user: Gumruch (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
- Not ending before 6 April 2020 18:11 UTC
Hello, I have a global account since 2008. I am a sysop on cs-wiki and regular cross-wiki contributor flagged with editor/autopatrolled/autoreview rights on 11 other wikis. Global rollback would be usefull for me as I usually check global contributions of local vandal IPs. I have read and understood the rollback rules. Thank you. Gumruch (talk) 18:11, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- GUC doesn't show a big recent cross-wiki activity. Most global contributions are not related to xwiki patrol. Could you please give me some examples? —Sgd. Hasley 18:32, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose In the last six months, I count less than 5 reverts outside of your home wiki. Global rollback is for users "who make heavy use of revert on many wikis"; your request rationale reads that you are requesting the right to help you revert global edits on the off-chance a local vandal has also vandalized elsewhere. While your work is appreciated, undo or user scripts are sufficent in this case. ~riley (talk) 18:33, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose NOTNOW. Good intention but way too early. We need to know that candidates know what vandalism in other languages they don't speak or read looks like and the only way is a track record where we can see your reverts in many other wikis. I know you are easily trusted, a mid size wiki sysop (we had a recent elected an excellent steward coming from your wiki) as well as multiple rights. I will say now is the demonstrated need component that needs to be shown. I will hope you are not discouraged and take some time doing actual reverts and come apply say in a month or two, and I will be happy to support then.Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 06:51, 2 April 2020 (UTC)

Global rename for Phjtieudoc
- Wiki: meta.wikimedia.org (list 'crats • bot policy • summary • 'crats rights)
- User: Phjtieudoc (talk • edits • logs • UserRights • activity • CentralAuth • email • verify 2FA)
- Not ending before 2 April 2020 04:17 UTC
Hello. I'm Phjtieudoc from the Vietnamese Wikipedia. I have joined Wikipedia since March 16th, 2017 and currently have more than 10000 edits on Vietnamese Wikipedia. I can speak Vietnamese and English. Currently I'm a Patroller on Wikipedia, which fight vandalism and tagging speedy deletion on articles, and helping the newcomers. For months, our "user renaming request" page have tons of requests on renaming. Thus we do have a global renamer who speaks Vietnamese but he usually don't active for personal reasons, and most of the global renamer couldn't speak Vietnamese, so it is hard for them to know the name changing reasons provided by users. I came here from 1997kB's recommendation and I'd like to volunteer to be the second renamer for the Vietnamese Wikipedia to complete those undone renaming request and respond them more quickly. I am often active on our home Wikipedia and want to make Wikipedia a better place for the users. I have read the terms & policies on meta and want to be another hand to reduce the works of global renamers, free them more times for editing. Thank you for your attention to this request, have a nice day and best regards! Phjtieudoc (talk) 04:17, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
- Support Well.. not a perfect candidate, but I am satisfied with their work on local venue-which receives good amount of requests and there's only one native renamer to handle them.
- To the candidate, if this pass please proceed carefully and whenever have doubts, consult before act. Good luck! ‐‐1997kB (talk) 06:01, 19 March 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose same as above. If the claim is that you’ll be using it to support one language group that’s great, but I would prefer to see
+sysop
on that project to show the trust of the local community. No familiarity with renames or naming policy on more than one project makes lake of sysop there a no-go from me. TonyBallioni (talk) 13:31, 21 March 2020 (UTC) - Support Per 1997kB. I think they should be okay despite not a sysop as they are quite active at local venue. We need vi renamers too. If they are clerking without good clue at the local venue, I think they will be prohibited long ago which they aren't so they are sort of okay.Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 16:25, 21 March 2020 (UTC)

Global IP block exempt for Qiyue2001
- Global user: Qiyue2001 (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
A proxy is needed to edit any wikimedia-affiliated wikis in PRC due to the cencorship. I have had IPBE on zhwiki years ago, and now I would request a global permission to edit on other wikis, thanks, --Qiyue2001 (talk) 10:00, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- @Qiyue2001: you already have GIPBE. However, as the flag doesn't exempt you from local blocks, you may need to contact a local sysop of the project you are trying to edit so they can grant you a local flag. —Thanks for the fish! talk•contribs 16:27, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

global interface editor for Petrb

Global interface editor for ~riley
- Global user: ~riley (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
- Discussion: Hi all, in the last week I have been working on fixing hardcoded Mediawiki:Sidebars on projects that fall within the GS set (Ex. 1, Ex. 2, Ex. 3). I have fixed dozens of harcoded sidebars so far but there are more to be fixed on wikis outside of the GS set with some of the initial changes being made over 10 years ago. Updating these hardcoded sidebars allow users to read the sidebar in the language set in their user preferences rather than in the wiki's native language. Additionally, I have been doing translations of non-standard items so that English users can still read the sidebar to find resources such as the community noticeboard/forum. I meet the global user page requirements and have 2FA enabled. I don't plan to use these permissions for anything else. I have experience with interface-editor as part of the GS skillset and being an interface admin on Commons. ~riley (talk) 08:03, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
