Global rename for A
- Wiki: meta.wikimedia.org (list 'crats • bot policy • summary • 'crats rights)

Hi everyone, I'm A from Vietnamese Wikipedia. I'd like to help out the global and local renaming processing by requesting for the global renamer right. I am an OTRS member as well as an eliminator on the Vietnamese Wikipedia, a user group that does not exist in many Wikipedias but has the right to make certain admin actions. The main reason I am requesting this right is because there's currently a lack of global renamers on vi.wiki, since both global renamers are busy with their personal lives and are currently on Wikibreak. There're currently some requests that have not been approved for weeks. With this right, I would help reduce the local and global rename backlog. Thank you very much for your time and consideration! --阿 talk 20:47, 6 September 2020 (UTC)
- Weak support, there clearly is a need for these permissions. Cheers! Nadzik (talk) 07:16, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

- Weak support It is eliminator (such as half-admin) on the Vietnamese Wikipedia. I couldn’t see its actions for usernames rules from its contributions and logs (maybe I'm misunderstanding this because I don't speak Vietnamese, I would be glad if you tell the truth with your arguments). But it is obvious that knows the Vietnamese Wikipedia. Maybe it can help username processes. --Uncitoyentalk 14:15, 8 September 2020 (UTC)

- Strong support Global renamers are necessary. The two global renamers remain in Vietnamese Wikipedia are unactive now. We need more global renamers to help other users change their name. A is an active member so I have no reason to oppose her. This guy opposed her for unrelated reason was so lame. :) DreamSeeeeker (talk) 00:20, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- Strong oppose Following reason will make me oppose this (Lý do để bỏ phiếu chống):
- Thỏa hiệp trong với các thành viên dịch máy - Ignore for members abuse machine transltaion (như [1]. Đáng ra cái đó phải bỏ biển xóa nhanh hoặc clk để xóa luôn, chứ cứ để đó thì thành ra là để biên wiki thành cái đống rác??)
- Một số bài viết rồi để đó, như [2] hay [3] (Some article write like "write to have")
- Uncessary permissions. --Bill Cipher, Stan, Twins, Dipper - Gravity falls and J.Smile 12:56, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
- Translation: J.Smile seems to use somewhat broken English, so I will rephrase their points:
- They claim that A ignores the abusing of content translation tool on viwiki, which leads to the existing of many bad quality translated articles from enwiki (or more correctly, they claims that A doesn't make any action about this, aside from reverting their speedy deletion template. The real quality of such articles is another story). They also claim that A "make compromise" with users creating such articles, which has no basis I think.
- They point out that A has created some stub articles without further improving them, he means "viết rồi để đó" or "viết cho có", in Vietnamese this means something likes "write just for show".
- May be they should use singular form here, not plural form like this. MeigyokuThmn (talk) 02:00, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- @J. Smile (Love & V.A.V.I): I've been thinking about what you said for a while but unfortunately it didn't help as I still don't understand what the reasons you mentioned have to do with Global Renamer. But anyway, even if your stated reasons don't make any sense (at least in this context), I'll still do my best to explain the circumstances with you and everyone here:
- Okay, this is probably about the use of Content Translation tool in the article "Công nghiệp nhựa". First, you added the "speedy deletion" template to this article with the reason "Machine Translation". I've removed and replaced it with the "rough translation" template. As I mentioned in the edit summary, "machine translation" is not a valid CSD criterion. Vi.wikipedia has a committee in which the quality of the translation can be checked. If the community is of the opinion that the quality of the article is too poor to be rescue at all, it can be deleted immediately. You should have requested a review here instead of requesting a SD. In my opinion, apart from a few minor translation errors, the article wasn't that bad. Please remember: Rude or speedy deletions of articles drive away editors, especially newbies!
- May I ask you one question: Have you even checked the corresponding articles on en.wiki from which these two were translated? Probably not, so here: Marcus (son of Basiliscus), Teia, version of 12 September 2017. I translated everything that were in the en.wikipedia's versions of these two articles, not just "viết cho có" as you claimed.
- Sorry again, but I don't understand what you mean by "unnecessary"? There are tons of requests that haven't been approved in weeks. I think everyone here should known how urgent the situation is and whether or not it is "necessary" to vote for me? Btw: I also see that you are voting against in almost every major requests here, I wonder what you are trying to achieve with that. --阿 talk 20:35, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
- @J. Smile (Love & V.A.V.I): I'll be very glad if you could answer my questions. Many thanks in advance.
