This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback, global sysop, global rename, …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.
This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.
Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).
Please note that Global rollbackers discussions are not votes. Comments must present specific points in favor of or against a user's approval.
Instructions for making a request
Before requesting, make sure that:
You have sufficient activity to meet the requirements to be allocated the global rollback flag
To make a request
Copy the template below to the bottom of this section and explain of why you need the access and why you're suitable.
=== Global rollback for {{subst:u|{{subst:REVISIONUSER}}}} ===
{{sr-request
|status = <!-- don't change this line -->
|domain = global <!-- don't change this line -->
|user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
::''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+5 days}} UTC''
The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions, no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.
Hi everyone, I am a sysop from it.Wikipedia and a mover from Commons. My mai activity is the patrolling and I do it usually in it.wikipeida and Commons, but I often edit in other projects too. The flag could help me in this activity.--Luca•M16:07, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. Luca M, I don't see evidence of you being involved in cross-wiki counter-vandalism efforts and that is what global rollback is for. You do have some cross-wiki contributions, but they are from 2018 or older and mostly relate to writing about a football club, not about counter-vandalism. If you are interested in helping patrolling other projects I strongly recommend joining SWMT and then after a while coming back with proof that you actually need global rollback. Otherwise you can just apply for local flags in the wikis you are interested to contribute to the most. --Base (talk) 16:16, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose You don't have active cross wiki activity. You are involved in just a few projects heavily. Unfortunately I can't think that I will support you. You'd better be a little more active on cross-wiki. --Uncitoyentalk16:59, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose per above. Great user, but I don't see enough counter-vandalism activity, sorry. Boost your crosswiki patrolling and I'll be happy to turn my vote next time. --Wim b01:12, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than two weeks (no exceptions are allowed no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential. Please note: Since 2019 all global sysops are required to have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled.
Hello. I have received a ping at my talk page which mentions that there is a long rename backlog from Japanese users and there is a shortage of Japanese speakers among the global renamers. I am an administrator on the Japanese Wikipedia and have some editing experience on other wikis (enwiki, zhwiki, Wikidata, Commons), so I think I might be able to help and therefore requesting the permission. I have gone through the relevant rename policies and will mainly work on requests from Japanese users. ネイ (talk) 14:35, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Support - as the person who reached out to ネイ to get some extra help with the frequent ja backlog, it's a wholehearted support from me. Cabayi (talk) 23:14, 28 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Your request might be rejected if you don't follow the instructions. Please review Global IP block exemption. You may request Global IP block exemption via stewardswikimedia.org if you can not edit this page.
Please note: Global IP block exemption does NOT make one immune to locally-created blocks of any sort, only global blocks.
If you want to edit the Chinese Wikipedia, usually global IP block exemptions will not help you. Please see this instruction to request a local IP block exemption.

The request will be approved if there is demonstrated need for the permission, such as bypassing a global block from someone who is not the intended target.
I'm a user of the People's Republic of China and active in Chinese Wikipedia. The reason why this permission is required is that it is not wanted to be blocked by iP when editing Wikipedia in other languages. And when I inspect the new page of Chinese Wikipedia, I will encounter articles translated from other regions, which need to be modified against each other. Sometimes there may be areas to be revised for Wikipedia pages in other languages,So I hope to apply in advance so as not to restrict other languages of Wikipedia editing in mainland China. Thanks. --永恒之蓝 (talk) 20:32, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, As I working for foundation as UCoC Universal Code of Conduct Language Facilitator for next few months, I want to get 2FA rights to make my work account more secure. Thanks! --*Youngjin (talk) 06:22, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
After a lot of repeated attempts to log into my account over the course of a month, I would like to have 2FA to secure my account better. I have read the help page. Thanks, --Eyebeller (talk) 11:26, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
