  • The Call for proposals and scholarships for 2022 Wiki Indaba Conference is ongoing. The theme for this year’s conference is Advancing Africa’s Agenda in the Implementation of the 2030 Movement Strategy. Scholarship application closes on 23rd September, while session proposals are welcome till 1st October.
  • The Wikimedia Sound logo contest is still on until 10th October. Please participate.
  • The Universal Code of Conduct Enforcement Guidelines Revisions committee is requesting comments regarding the Revised Enforcement Draft Guidelines for the Universal Code of Conduct (UCoC). This review period ends on October 8, 2022.
  • The second Eduwiki Sub-saharan regional meeting comes up on 27th September 2022, at 3pm UTC/GMT. Register/submit a session using this link. You can join the meeting on Zoom.
  • Wikimedia is participating in the winter edition of this year's Outreachy (December 2022–March 2023). If you have some ideas for coding or non-coding (design, documentation, translation, outreach, research) projects, the deadline to submit projects on the Outreachy website Outreachy website is September 30th, 2022.
  • Wikimedia Sweden has launched Helpdesk for Content Partnerships, a service to support Wikimedians that want to work with partners to share content on the Wikimedia platforms. The idea is that anyone that wants support with a project sends an email to helpdesk@wikimedia.se. You can also send an email if you wish to support others.
  • The WikiCredibility Grants Initiative (WikiCred) is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications from individuals, groups, or organisations seeking funding support for the development of tools, projects or initiatives that strengthen credibility and reliability of information within Wikimedia projects. The Plant Taxonomy Skills for Ecology and Conservation course is organised by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in collaboration with the University of Ghana.   • The Art and Feminism Call for artists to create an original, open-license work which helps to visualize #ArtAndFeminism is open. Up to two selected applicants will receive a 2000$ (USD) artist fee each for their work. This is to celebrate the Global South.
