This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback, global sysop, global rename, …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.
This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.
Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).
Please note that Global rollbackers discussions are not votes. Comments must present specific points in favor of or against a user's approval.
Instructions for making a request
Before requesting, make sure that:
You have sufficient activity to meet the requirements to be allocated the global rollback flag
To make a request
Copy the template below to the bottom of this section and explain of why you need the access and why you're suitable.
=== Global rollback for {{subst:u|{{subst:REVISIONUSER}}}} ===
{{sr-request
|status = <!-- don't change this line -->
|domain = global <!-- don't change this line -->
|user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
::''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+5 days}} UTC''
The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions, no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.
Greetings. I have been active in the SWMT and cross-wiki antivandalism over the last few months, using the filter log, TwinkleGlobal and SWViewer to combat vandals, LTAs and spammers. I already have rollback rights on enwiki and metawiki (through the patroller right) and have good experience with fighting vandalism. GR would make my job easier and faster and more efficient compared to using the "Undo" feature. Hence, I would like to request GR. Thanks, JavaHurricane11:17, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support While JavaHurricane has been editing since the months, I have seen many times. JavaHurricane is trying to show a good fight on cross-wiki. Good luck. --Uncitoyentalk12:21, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support – I feel that he is ready for this user right. JavaHurricane has the necessary experience for Global Rollbacker, and I see no issues at all. Also, this would greatly help him in combatting cross-wiki vandals and LTAs. LightandDark2000 🌀 (talk) 04:35, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, I'm Daniuu. I have been active in cross-wiki patrolling (doing SWMT work, reverting edits by LTA's, detecting cross-wiki abuse etc.) for a few months now. I'm using SWViewer, TwinkleGlobal and spam blacklist logs to detect vandalism and spam. I'm a sysop on the Dutch Wikipedia, and also hold rollback rights on both the English and Simple English Wikipedia. I'd like to request global rollback because it would allow me to do my work in a more efficient way (for example, it would allow me to use the rollback all gadget while reverting vandalism from LTA's, which can save a nice amount of work compared to undoing all edits separately). I am aware that the GR-permission is intended to be used for nothing else than fighting vandalism. I'm looking forward to recieve your feedback on this request. Kind regards, Daniuu (talk) 00:43, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello everybody. I propose my name to help in the process of renaming user accounts in the Spanish-speaking community. During the course of the last few months, some users who collaborated with this process have withdrawn and, in the specific case of es-Wikipedia, we have two active renaming agents for now and I would like to help out. I am currently an administrator of es-Wiki and previously I was an administrator of es-Wikinews. My availability to help in this task is almost total; I have read and understood the global policy on the matter and therefore I request your support. Thank you. Muchas gracias. --LuchoCR (talk) 03:58, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support I know his work at esWiki, he is one of the recently appointed administrator most committed to the project. And it will be even more so by being a global rename. Excuse my English level. --Luis1944MX (talk) 19:22, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Your request might be rejected if you don't follow the instructions. Please review Global IP block exemption. You may request Global IP block exemption via stewardswikimedia.org if you can not edit this page.
Please note: Global IP block exemption does NOT make one immune to locally-created blocks of any sort, only global blocks.
If you want to edit the Chinese Wikipedia, usually global IP block exemptions will not help you. Please see this instruction to request a local IP block exemption.

The request will be approved if there is demonstrated need for the permission, such as bypassing a global block from someone who is not the intended target.
I use a vpn for all my internet usage for privacy/security reasons—particularly relevant when using public networks, which I do often. Having this permission would increase my productivity on Wikimedia projects as I commonly want to make small edits when reading but am hindered by IP blocks. Thanks in advance for any response, Somnifuguist (talk) 15:33, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, I've been using 2FA for a long while, I'm setting it up wherever I can. TOTP secret will be stored on my YubiKey and scratch codes stored on a different medium, encrypted with my personal software-generated (non-YubiKey) PGP key and overall handled with care, because according to the help page I'll be locked out of my account if I lose them. Thanks in advance, --ZiemekZ (talk) 03:00, 25 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hello. I'd like to apply for 2FA to try and ensure that only I login to my account. I sometimes get login attempts from LTAs and it'd be much nicer to know that they would also need verification from me to sign in if they somehow guessed my password. I'll write down the scratch codes and keep them in a secure place. Thanks, --Ferien (talk) 20:24, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
