This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback , global sysop , global rename , …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

Requests for global rollback permissions

Please be sure to follow the instructions below:
Your request might be rejected if you don't follow the instructions, and not doing so would reflect poorly on your suitability.
Please also review the Global rollback policy.
Instructions for making a request

Before requesting, make sure that: You have sufficient activity to meet the requirements to be allocated the global rollback flag

To make a request
Copy the template below to the bottom of this section and explain of why you need the access and why you're suitable.
=== Global rollback for {{subst:u|{{subst:REVISIONUSER}}}} ===
{{sr-request
 |status    = <!-- don't change this line -->
 |domain    = global <!-- don't change this line -->
 |user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
::''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+5 days}} UTC''

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions , no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.

Global rollback for JavaHurricane

Not ending before 27 April 2021 11:17 UTC

Greetings. I have been active in the SWMT and cross-wiki antivandalism over the last few months, using the filter log, TwinkleGlobal and SWViewer to combat vandals, LTAs and spammers. I already have rollback rights on enwiki and metawiki (through the patroller right) and have good experience with fighting vandalism. GR would make my job easier and faster and more efficient compared to using the "Undo" feature. Hence, I would like to request GR. Thanks, JavaHurricane 11:17, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Clear consensus, promoted. --Wiki13 (talk) 11:33, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Global rollback for Daniuu

Not ending before 28 April 2021 00:43 UTC

Hi, I'm Daniuu. I have been active in cross-wiki patrolling (doing SWMT work, reverting edits by LTA's, detecting cross-wiki abuse etc.) for a few months now. I'm using SWViewer, TwinkleGlobal and spam blacklist logs to detect vandalism and spam. I'm a sysop on the Dutch Wikipedia, and also hold rollback rights on both the English and Simple English Wikipedia. I'd like to request global rollback because it would allow me to do my work in a more efficient way (for example, it would allow me to use the rollback all gadget while reverting vandalism from LTA's, which can save a nice amount of work compared to undoing all edits separately). I am aware that the GR-permission is intended to be used for nothing else than fighting vandalism. I'm looking forward to recieve your feedback on this request. Kind regards, Daniuu (talk) 00:43, 23 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

 |user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
:''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+2 week}} UTC''

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than two weeks (no exceptions are allowed no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential. Global rename for LuchoCR

Not ending before 2 May 2021 03:58 UTC

Hello everybody. I propose my name to help in the process of renaming user accounts in the Spanish-speaking community. During the course of the last few months, some users who collaborated with this process have withdrawn and, in the specific case of es-Wikipedia, we have two active renaming agents for now and I would like to help out. I am currently an administrator of es-Wiki and previously I was an administrator of es-Wikinews. My availability to help in this task is almost total; I have read and understood the global policy on the matter and therefore I request your support. Thank you.
Muchas gracias. --LuchoCR (talk) 03:58, 18 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Global IP block exempt for Somnifuguist

I use a vpn for all my internet usage for privacy/security reasons—particularly relevant when using public networks, which I do often. Having this permission would increase my productivity on Wikimedia projects as I commonly want to make small edits when reading but am hindered by IP blocks. Thanks in advance for any response, Somnifuguist (talk) 15:33, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Global IP block exempt for EpicPupper

Hi, I'd like to request a global IP block exemption for 3 main reasons. Firstly, in the next month or so, I will be travelling to China. This is a yearly trip, and I require a VPN in order to be able to edit there. Secondly, I often wish to use a VPN in light of federal survailence programs to exercise my right to privacy. Finally, I often travel around the world, sometimes in countries which may block Wikipedia and Wikimedia Foundation projects, and I'd like to be able to edit there. Thanks, --EpicPupper (talk) 18:29, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Considering the main account already has 2FA enabled. --Wiki13 (talk) 11:37, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

CAPTCHA exempt for EpicPupper

Hi, I'd like to request a CAPTCHA exemption to make my maintenance and translation work easier when editing various wikis. Thanks, --EpicPupper (talk) 18:34, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • You are autoconfirmed in every wiki you are active in (exept wikidata) and thus have the permissions to skip captchas in basicly all wikis you are active in. So I don't realy see why you need this. Could you give us an example of an use case? Regards --Zabe (talk) 20:53, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Abuse filter maintainer for Huji

This is the kind of access that is not actively used most of the time, but can be very helpful when it is needed. I had received this on a temporary basis and it expired on Apr 26. I would like to request to renew my temporary access. Huji (talk) 21:25, 27 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
