This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback , global sysop , global rename , …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

Global rollback for 64andtim

Not ending before 1 August 2023 20:28 UTC As a rollbacker on the English Wikipedia, I would like to apply for global rollback since that would let me revert vandalism/nonsense more efficiently and have been familiar with local wikis' rollback policies, and I would never revert good faith/questionable edits if possible. Hello everyone, I'm MdsShakil. I've been working on SWMT since 2021, a global rollbacker, for almost 2 years now. I am a sysop on bnwiki and bnwikibooks. I patrolled small wikis with SWViewer and TWGlobal. I am active on Cross-Wiki in the fight against vandalism and spambots. I also work on cleaning up small projects and usually make frequent requests at GSR. (Sometimes on IRC) Global sysop will help me do these things. While all input is welcome, there is a hard 80% support requirement for this role as per the global renamer policy.

@Ibjaja055 you do not appear to have an expired GIPBE, you appear to have an expired local IPBE on your homewiki. GIPBE will not help if you are hitting local blocks. Is your problem with such local blocks? — xaosflux Talk 14:32, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

At the moment I live in Russia where a total blocking of Wikipedia is very possible. In this case, I will have to use a proxy. @Mapatxea most of the larger projects block proxies locally, so you will need local flags. We generally don't preemptively add GIPBE, however if it becomes an issue you may request it later. I suggest you take ruwiki up on the offer, and I've pinged an admin from euwiki above that may be able to help there. — xaosflux Talk 13:21, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

CAPTCHA exemption for A09

I would like to request CAPTCHA exemption as I work on small wikis fighting LTAs and spams via TW/SViewer. Some wikis have CAPTCHA included and those obstruct my workflow.
