歷史：

現行之維基媒體附屬組織模式由運動角色專案所制定。該模式於2010年經2010年分會會議討論後啟動發展，並於2012年3月31日獲理事會全體一致通過。附屬組織委員會負責就維基媒體運動附屬組織的認可與存續事宜提供諮詢與建議。
