This page is for requesting CheckUser information on a wiki with no local CheckUsers (see also requesting checkuser access). Make sure to follow the following instructions, or your request may not be processed in a timely manner.

Before making a request:

  1. Make sure you have a good reason for the check. It will only be accepted to counter vandalism or disruption to Wikimedia wikis. Valid reasons include needing a block of the underlying IP or IP range, disruptive sockpuppetry, vote-stacking, and similar disruption where the technical evidence from running a check would prevent or reduce further disruption.
  2. Be specific in your reasons. Ambiguous or insufficient reasons will cause delays. Explain the disruption and why you believe the accounts are related, ideally using diff links or other evidence.
  3. Make sure there are no local checkusers.
  4. Please ensure that the check hasn't already been done:

Reason(s): Μαυρο Μαργαριταρι exhibits the same editing pattern of blind reverts and silly vandalism as Μαδαρός in the elwiki article on the battle of Crete (el:Μάχη της Κρήτης -- please check the article's history page).

The former is an account that was activated and started editing the article only a short while after the latter was blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet. There may well be a number of sleepers, as the sockmaster (Vrahomarinaner, whose account has also been indefinitely blocked) tends to edit WP using a large number of accounts (as previously confirmed after CU requests here) or as an IP. Reason(s): Spammers, most of them IPs from several ranges, the whole set is here: Talk:Spam_blacklist#redirects_to_href.li (still growing as I am generating COIBot reports). First set of domains is blacklisted. The spammers typically replace official websites with their domains, which turn out to be redirects through href.li to the original domains but with added codes (e.g. naughtyamerica.top is a redirect to href.li/?hXXp://natour.naughtyamerica.com/track/MTEyNjgzLjEyLjguOC4wLjAuMC4wLjA (mainmed http to hXXp); only brazzers.network seems not to be a redirect). Some of the underlying IP-ranges are VPNs and webhost which need global blocking. Please check if there are more ranges that need blocking. @MarcoAurelio: I keep finding more IPs, users and domains, but I see that CheckUser is not going to help on those either. All users are creating articles on various Wikipedia sites about the same topics. The topics are mainly "Dark Leg Dark Punk", "Leg Guitar", "Parileg" and "DJ Mixify". Most articles got deleted, the currentl only articles which were edited by both Cimina and Citties can be found on urWP (ur:پریلگ, ur:خداداد موقر, ur:زهره موقر). On Wikidata, the item d:Q42303595 with label "Dark Leg / Dark Punk" was often edited by Citties and Aminnie. Together they added sitelinks to Wikipedia articles in ten different languages. @Sanmosa: There is no reason to attack helpful stewards here, especially since the decision to remove the Chinese checkusers come from the WMF Office. We simply respond to requests from zhwiki now as there are no local CUs anymore. Nothing more and nothing less. If you have questions/comments about it, I suggest you email ca(_AT_)wikimedia.org.
