This page is for requesting CheckUser information on a wiki with no local CheckUsers (see also requesting checkuser access). Make sure to follow the following instructions, or your request may not be processed in a timely manner.

Before making a request:

  1. Make sure you have a good reason for the check. It will only be accepted to counter vandalism or disruption to Wikimedia wikis. Valid reasons include needing a block of the underlying IP or IP range, disruptive sockpuppetry, vote-stacking, and similar disruption where the technical evidence from running a check would prevent or reduce further disruption.
  2. Be specific in your reasons. Ambiguous or insufficient reasons will cause delays. Explain the disruption and why you believe the accounts are related, ideally using diff links or other evidence.
  3. Make sure there are no local checkusers.
  4. Please ensure that the check hasn't already been done:

How to make a request

How to make a request:

  • Place your request at the bottom of the section, using the template below (see also {{srcu}} help).
    === Username@xx.project ===
    {{CU request
     |status          = <!--don't change this line-->
     |language code   =
     |project shortcut=

     |discussion      = [[Example]]<!-- local confirmation link / local policy link -->
     |reason          = Reasons here. ~~~~
    }}

    For example:

    === Example@en.wikipedia ===
    {{CU request
     |status          = <!--don't change this line-->
     |language code   = en
     |project shortcut= w

Μαυρο Μαργαριταρι@el.wikipedia

Ignore the above request. The last comment is obviouσly trolling. The other usernnames should probably checked.--MARKELLOSLeave me a message 16:03, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Pertonax@global

Please note that except Esperanto9999 all others would be Stale as CU data is only kept for a short period of time. No check user query ran here. —MarcoAurelio (talk) 20:19, 28 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@MarcoAurelio: I keep finding more IPs, users and domains, but I see that CheckUser is not going to help on those either. I may however need a hand to have any (underlying) ranges globally blocked, they seem to be using open proxies and VPNs. --Dirk Beetstra T C (en: U, T) 15:20, 29 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

MonsterHunter32@en.wikiquote

MonsterHunter32 is suspected of using multiple socks for disruptive sockpuppetry and vote stacking in discussions with admins and editors and at VfD. The account is suspected of using socks to change Wikiquote documentation pages [1] with the aim to influence the outcome of ongoing discussions with admins and editors in his favour. The account is also suspected in vote stacking at Votes for Deletion to influence the outcome of deletion discussions.
It would also be helpful to know if the following IP accounts are related to the main account MonsterHunter32, as they are suspected of vote stacking at Votes for Deletion and other places. [2] [3] [4] [5] [6] (Some further evidence that MonsterHunter32 and Beefybufoon are related: Both accounts are also active on wikipedia, where both accounts have edited the same articles at the same time, violating the sockpuppetry policy [7] [8], and the same subjects (articles about medieval India and Alauddin Khilji (the film Padmaavat is about these subjects), video games, and Eastern-Europe/Russia conflicts). The following IP accounts, among others, appear to be (legitimate) socks of MonsterHunter32 [9] [10] [11] ) Jedi3 (talk) 00:31, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

User:Jedi3 has started making baseless accusations of socks against me now. First he couldn't solve the discussion by discussion. Meanwhile he kept disrupting all through and edit-warring. He then started arm-twisting through complaints which I didn't despite me able being to do so as well but only complaining after him when he started it instead of plain discussion: Wikiquote:Administrators' noticeboard#User:MonsterHunter32's massive censorship of sourced quotes without discussion and Wikiquote:Vandalism in progress#User:MonsterHunter32.

Jedi3 has edit-warred a lot, for some examples see the history of these different articles: [12], [13], [14], [15], [16], [17], [18].

Also while Jedi3 keeps claiming similar articles I edited as a reason, which isn't as users may edit a lot of articles, but that doesn't mean they are related. User:DanielTom has been backing Jedi3 for similar reasons at nearly every complaint he makes. Even their reasons like "censorship" are similar.

I am not Beefybufoon, if you don't believe it check it. In addition I also checked Jedi3's claims about "similarities", I don't edit Eastern-Europe/Russia conflict. Nor I have edited video games often, only rarely. As for the film Padmavat, a lot of users have edited it due to the controversy over it in India. At the film, I only removed an unrelated image and made 2 corrections in the grammar. I made no significant addition. Also Beefybufoon made no edit on Alauddin Khalji as far as I've seen. Jedi3's claims are based on poor understanding.

Not to mention, the VfD discussions he's talking about are months old and I've not used any sock. Not to mention, how is the discussion is in his favor if it was "influenced"? If you need a proof, the IP addresses, I have are usually: 200, 43, 121, 120 and sometimes 59 and 117 and 61.

Also what is funny is User:Jedi3 is claiming [19] is my 'sock'. Even though it is never used a sock and the IP was recorded when I wasn't signed in. when I came to comment again, I realized it and made a new signature so it was clear it was me, see [20]. Jedi3 must take back his claim of it appearing to be a "legitimate sock". Especially, when the very next edit of what he is showing shows that is was a simple case of a user not logged-in.  Declined - please sort this conflict out locally. I'd personally recommend that you both just avoid each-other. – Ajraddatz (talk) 05:54, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Alice Lin@zh.wikipedia

Ying-Meng Lin and 林穎孟 are the same user. Alice Lin and Kenny468 are Unrelated Unrelated. Ruslik (talk) 19:18, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Ruslik0: To confirm, I want to ask if Alice Lin and Ying-Meng Lin are related, or just as Kenny468. ŚÆŊŠĀ 00:41, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Alice Lin is not related to Ying-Meng. Ruslik (talk) 14:36, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

SQORP@lt.wikipedia

Hello, I am SQORP. Before month I've been wrongly blame and get banned for two weeks. But all users don't believe me. Can you check it? It will be very grateful. SQORP (talk) 19:51, 30 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

So? --SQORP (talk) 10:11, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Not done Italian Wikipedia has its own checkusers. Please, ask them. Ruslik (talk) 17:35, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Jvdx90365@zhwiki

@Shizhao and Jusjih: Care to translate? — regards, Revi 07:30, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Antigng: Unfortunately no Stewards can read/write Chinese. Please write in English. Thanks! — regards, Revi 08:12, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Translation: Jvdx90365 was blocked on zhwiki because it is a sock of Negmlosi. Jvdx90365 submitted an unblock request. Please review. Jianhui67 talkcontribs 09:12, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@-revi: As what Antigng said in Chinese Wikipedia, we have no responsibility to translate Chinese to English. It is your responsibilty to know what we are saying. ŚÆŊŠĀ 10:46, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
If you say that, I can say ‘it is not our responsibility to process any request we do not understand.’ — regards, Revi 10:50, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@-revi: You HAVE the responsibility to recognize what we are saying. We are CHINESE Wikipedia, NOT English Wikiprojects. ŚÆŊŠĀ 14:40, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Here is Meta-Wiki, not Chinese Wikipedia. Thank you. — regards, Revi 14:41, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@-revi: If Chinese Wikipedia users have their CheckUser rights, I would never go here. I go here just because of the Office Actions. ŚÆŊŠĀ 14:43, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@-revi: Maybe we shall talk at the user talk page? ŚÆŊŠĀ 14:45, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think we have something more to talk about this, the check result is available below. — regards, Revi 14:46, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@-revi: I mean the language problem... ŚÆŊŠĀ 14:48, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Quoting what Antigng said, "如果他們看不懂導致錯誤判斷,那是他們在濫用權限。" The English meaning is, "If the Stewards made the wrong decisions because they don't know what we are writing, they are abusing their rights." ŚÆŊŠĀ 14:54, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Sanmosa: There is no reason to attack helpful stewards here, especially since the decision to remove the Chinese checkusers come from the WMF Office. We simply respond to requests from zhwiki now as there are no local CUs anymore. Nothing more and nothing less. If you have questions/comments about it, I suggest you email ca(_AT_)wikimedia.org. And that we now close this discussion. Thank you for your understanding. Trijnsteltalk 14:55, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
PS. As there are no Chinese stewards, we recommend to write requests in English if possible. That might only speed up the procedure. Trijnsteltalk 14:55, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Trijnstel: OK, I will stop about the discussion about the language. I just want everyone to be hopeful that there are still Chinese Wikipedia users know English. ŚÆŊŠĀ 14:57, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Doing... per Jianhui's translation... (Again, I won't process any request without an explanation I can understand. Other steward may think differently but...) — regards, Revi 14:09, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

From the technical evidences I can access, Unrelated Unrelated. Remember Pixiedust CheckUser is not magic pixie dust. — regards, Revi 14:34, 31 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

SleaY@fr.wikinews

IPs cannot be checked. — regards, Revi 04:33, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@-revi: Thanks, however, in the header we can read "Valid reasons include needing a block of the underlying IP or IP range" but IPs cannot be checked? What's the meaning of that ? --SleaY (talk) 05:28, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You already have an IP addresses to block. That only applies for accounts which you cannot see IP. — regards, Revi 06:20, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
