This page hosts requests for global permissions. To make a request, read the relevant policy (global rollback , global sysop , global rename , …) and make a request below. Explain why membership is needed for that group, and detail prior experience or qualifications.

This is not a vote and any active Wikimedia editor may participate in the discussion.

Global rollback and global interface editor requests require no fewer than 5 days of discussion while abuse filter helper and maintainer requests require no fewer than 7 days. Global renamer and global sysop requests require no fewer than 2 weeks of discussion. For requests that are unlikely to pass under any circumstances, they may be closed by a steward without further discussion (after a reasonable amount of input).

Requests for global rollback permissions

Please be sure to follow the instructions below:
Your request might be rejected if you don't follow the instructions, and not doing so would reflect poorly on your suitability.
Please also review the Global rollback policy.
Instructions for making a request

Before requesting, make sure that: You have sufficient activity to meet the requirements to be allocated the global rollback flag

To make a request
Copy the template below to the bottom of this section and explain of why you need the access and why you're suitable.
=== Global rollback for {{subst:u|{{subst:REVISIONUSER}}}} ===
{{sr-request
 |status    = <!-- don't change this line -->
 |domain    = global <!-- don't change this line -->
 |user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
::''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+5 days}} UTC''

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than 5 days (with rare exceptions , no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential.

Global rollback for Teles

Hi, folks! I am a former global rollbacker/sysop and had the flags removed when I became a Steward back in 2012. Day by day, I am returning from a partial wikibreak and wouldn’t ask for this permission, but I recently got to know about the swviewer and just find that amazing. I am using it on my mobile combining with IRC patrolling. It’s my new favorite pastime. It requires rollbacker access to work better, so I feel like I would benefit from that. Thanks in advance! Be safe!—Teles «Talk to me ˱C L @ S˲» 22:53, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not ending before 19 September 2020 22:53 UTC

I can't explain for that, so my opinion is canceled. Bill Cipher, Stan, Twins, Dipper - Gravity falls and J.Smile 13:18, 15 September 2020 (UTC)

Instructions for making a request

Before requesting, make sure that:

  1. You have a global account ;
  2. You are logged in on this wiki, and the account is part of your global account;

 |user name = {{subst:REVISIONUSER}} <!-- don't change this line unless you're nominating another user -->
}}
:''Not ending before {{subst:#time:j F Y H:i|+2 week}} UTC''

The request will be approved if consensus to do so exists after a period of consideration of no less than two weeks (no exceptions are allowed no matter how obvious the result may seem). This is not a vote, and all input is welcome. Stewards will determine whether consensus exists; when doing so it is likely that the weight given to the input of those involved in cross-wiki work will be most influential. Please note: Since 2019 all global sysops are required to have two-factor authentication (2FA) enabled.

Global rename for Superpes15

Not ending before 17 September 2020 16:57 UTC

Hi everyone, I'm Superpes15, I'm a rollbacker on wikidata and a sysop on it.wiki. I'm also a x-wiki patroller. As a patroller and administrator I have often dealt with users with inappropriate usernames. I've read several policies on inappropriate usernames and I think the itwiki policy is one of the most rigid (but effective against vandalism). I've read and understood the global rename policy and the global renamers policy and I think (and hope) that I can help out with renaming. Obviously, in case of doubt, I would always turn to the most experienced. Thanks for your comments and for attention. --Superpes15 (talk) 16:57, 3 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Global rename for A

Not ending before 20 September 2020 20:47 UTC

Hi everyone, I'm A from Vietnamese Wikipedia. I'd like to help out the global and local renaming processing by requesting for the global renamer right. I am an OTRS member as well as an eliminator on the Vietnamese Wikipedia, a user group that does not exist in many Wikipedias but has the right to make certain admin actions. The main reason I am requesting this right is because there's currently a lack of global renamers on vi.wiki, since both global renamers are busy with their personal lives and are currently on Wikibreak. There're currently some requests that have not been approved for weeks. With this right, I would help reduce the local and global rename backlog. Thank you very much for your time and consideration! -- talk 20:47, 6 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Global rename for Alphama

Not ending before 21 September 2020 21:32 UTC

I am a sysop of Vietnamese Wikipedia. In our project (viwiki), we receive the rename requests every week [4] but seem that only 1997kB works on it. Therefore, I request this right for a local admin to solve the rename requests more efficiently. Alphama (talk) 21:32, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ADD Global IP block exempt for Marek Torba

Hi, I would like to ask for an IP block exemption for the abovementioned user. As noted on his pl.wiki userpage, this is a staffer of a Polish museum (Wawel Royal Castle in Cracow), taking a part in the most recent GLAM partnership of Wikimedia Polska. The global IP block removal is vital for e.g. Commons work and upload. On behalf of the WMPL, aegis maelstrom δ 19:14, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

New wikis importer for Sotiale

Hello! I'd like to propose that Sotiale be addded as a new wikis importer to support our small team. As a sysop on BetaWikiversity and Incubator, Sotiale is already well-acquainted with the creation process of new wikis. Thanks to his experience with numerous other permissions, I am sure Sotiale will also be able to execute this task impeccably. --MF-W 22:43, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sincerely thank you for your nomination. I accept the nomination! --Sotiale (talk) 22:53, 7 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I usually look the other page. For example, if Sotiale resigns from stewardship in the future, such as MF-Warburg, can register this right automatically. --Uncitoyentalk 14:21, 8 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Abuse filter helper for Pseudo Classes

Hiya! I'd like to apply for abuse filter helper, because I often view the private abuse filters to understand the settings. As the former rollbacker in zhwiki, I think I've gained a lot of experience in using these rights over the months. Pseudo Classes (talk) 16:53, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

How can you view the private filters when viewing them require a special right, like Abuse filter helper? Also, how did being a rollbacker help you with abuse filters? For what will you use the rights? --MF-W 21:14, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
zh:Special:ListGroupRights says rollbackers have abusefilter-view-private and abusefilter-log-private rights. PiRSquared17 (talk) 22:47, 9 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think MF-W's question needs to be answered. @Pseudo Classes: for what will you use the rights?--evrifaessa ❯❯❯ talk 07:15, 10 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@MF-Warburg and Evrifaessa: I can detect what can be modified and optimized in abuse filters, and report it to administrators for correction. Pseudo Classes (talk) 00:34, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Pseudo Classes, could you provide examples of such correction requests you have done? --Base (talk) 21:48, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
