Goals[edit]
Did you meet your goals? Are you happy with how the project went?
A majority of the Heritage places targeted for Photo documentation has been achieved. Considering the fact Covid19 situation was prevalent throughout the grant period and I could go out to explore only three months, I consider this to be a great achievment.

Actually 14 sites were visited, but at one site the heritage structures were either demolished or converted beyond proper identification |

Actually 30 sites were targeted, 2 could not be visited due to time constraint and at the remaining 2 sites heritage structures were either demolished

Learning[edit]
Projects do not always go according to plan. Sharing what you learned can help you and others plan similar projects in the future. Help the movement learn from your experience by answering the following questions:
- What worked well?
- The planning went well. Considering the fact that I was exploring three new districts, due to proper planning majority of the sites were properly documented
- Involving new Wikimedians in the project was helpful. Many videos including drone shots of some major sites could be obtained and uploaded
- We now have a major image bank for heritage sites over West Bengal which will help in enriching relevant Wikipedia articles.
- What did not work so well?
- Better photographic equipment could have resulted in more quality shots specially those shot in low light
- Absence of proper identification card from West Bengal Wikimedians User Group sometimes caused difficulty in rural areas to explain the purpose of documentation
- Due to Covid19 restrictions, time constraint was a major issue to complete the project. With more time more areas could have been covered.
- Uploading photographs to the Wikimedia Commons server was a major issue. The interface was not user friendly and uploading process was very slow.
- What would you do differently next time?
- Propose the West Bengal Wikimedians User Group for identification cards and better photography equipment for future projects
- Propose involvement of a drone operator for aerial videos
- Propose better and faster interface for uploading images
