Global rollback for Teles
- Global user: Teles (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
Hi, folks! I am a former global rollbacker/sysop and had the flags removed when I became a Steward back in 2012. Day by day, I am returning from a partial wikibreak and wouldn’t ask for this permission, but I recently got to know about the swviewer and just find that amazing. I am using it on my mobile combining with IRC patrolling. It’s my new favorite pastime. It requires rollbacker access to work better, so I feel like I would benefit from that. Thanks in advance! Hi everyone, I'm Superpes15, I'm a rollbacker on wikidata and a sysop on it.wiki. I'm also a x-wiki patroller. As a patroller and administrator I have often dealt with users with inappropriate usernames. I've read several policies on inappropriate usernames and I think the itwiki policy is one of the most rigid (but effective against vandalism). I've read and understood the global rename policy and the global renamers policy and I think (and hope) that I can help out with renaming. Obviously, in case of doubt, I would always turn to the most experienced. Thanks for your comments and for attention. --Superpes15 (talk) 16:57, 3 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi everyone, I'm A from Vietnamese Wikipedia. I'd like to help out the global and local renaming processing by requesting for the global renamer right. I am an OTRS member as well as an eliminator on the Vietnamese Wikipedia, a user group that does not exist in many Wikipedias but has the right to make certain admin actions. The main reason I am requesting this right is because there's currently a lack of global renamers on vi.wiki, since both global renamers are busy with their personal lives and are currently on Wikibreak. There're currently some requests that have not been approved for weeks. With this right, I would help reduce the local and global rename backlog. Thank you very much for your time and consideration! --阿 talk 20:47, 6 September 2020 (UTC)

A is an active member so I have no reason to oppose her. This guy opposed her for unrelated reason was so lame. :) DreamSeeeeker (talk) 00:20, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- Strong oppose Following reason will make me oppose this (Lý do để bỏ phiếu chống):
- Thỏa hiệp trong với các thành viên dịch máy - Ignore for members abuse machine transltaion (như [1]. Đáng ra cái đó phải bỏ biển xóa nhanh hoặc clk để xóa luôn, chứ cứ để đó thì thành ra là để biên wiki thành cái đống rác??)
- Một số bài viết rồi để đó, như [2] hay [3] (Some article write like "write to have")
- Uncessary permissions. --Bill Cipher, Stan, Twins, Dipper - Gravity falls and J.Smile 12:56, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
- Translation: J.Smile seems to use somewhat broken English, so I will rephrase their points:
- They claim that A ignores the abusing of content translation tool on viwiki, which leads to the existing of many bad quality translated articles from enwiki (or more correctly, they claims that A doesn't make any action about this, aside from reverting their speedy deletion template. The real quality of such articles is another story). They also claim that A "make compromise" with users creating such articles, which has no basis I think.
- They point out that A has created some stub articles without further improving them, he means "viết rồi để đó" or "viết cho có", in Vietnamese this means something likes "write just for show".
- May be they should use singular form here, not plural form like this. MeigyokuThmn (talk) 02:00, 16 September 2020 (UTC)
- @J. Smile (Love & V.A.V.I): I've been thinking about what you said for a while but unfortunately it didn't help as I still don't understand what the reasons you mentioned have to do with Global Renamer. But anyway, even if your stated reasons don't make any sense (at least in this context), I'll still do my best to explain the circumstances with you and everyone here:
- Okay, this is probably about the use of Content Translation tool in the article "Công nghiệp nhựa". First, you added the "speedy deletion" template to this article with the reason "Machine Translation". I've removed and replaced it with the "rough translation" template. As I mentioned in the edit summary, "machine translation" is not a valid CSD criterion. Vi.wikipedia has a committee in which the quality of the translation can be checked. If the community is of the opinion that the quality of the article is too poor to be rescue at all, it can be deleted immediately. You should have requested a review here instead of requesting a SD. In my opinion, apart from a few minor translation errors, the article wasn't that bad. Please remember: Rude or speedy deletions of articles drive away editors, especially newbies!
- May I ask you one question: Have you even checked the corresponding articles on en.wiki from which these two were translated? Probably not, so here: Marcus (son of Basiliscus), Teia, version of 12 September 2017. I translated everything that were in the en.wikipedia's versions of these two articles, not just "viết cho có" as you claimed.
- Sorry again, but I don't understand what you mean by "unnecessary"? There are tons of requests that haven't been approved in weeks. I think everyone here should known how urgent the situation is and whether or not it is "necessary" to vote for me? Btw: I also see that you are voting against in almost every major requests here, I wonder what you are trying to achieve with that. --阿 talk 20:35, 15 September 2020 (UTC)
- @J. Smile (Love & V.A.V.I): I'll be very glad if you could answer my questions. Many thanks in advance.

This is just my guess(If anyone knows, please help!), but it seems to differentiate between stews normal worklist and the new wikis importing. I don't care if I can work either way =) [And because I'm scared of going through any RFP process] --Sotiale (talk) 14:57, 8 September 2020 (UTC)

- Support active admin on Incubator, trusted Wikimedian. @Pppery: Stewards haven't import right, see. --Uncitoyentalk 14:15, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict.) Steward do have the import right, but it's recorded at Special:GlobalGroupPermissions/steward because it applies to all wikis. * Pppery * it has begun 14:17, 8 September 2020 (UTC)
- Sorry, I usually look the other page. For example, if Sotiale resigns from stewardship in the future, such as MF-Warburg, can register this right automatically. --Uncitoyentalk 14:21, 8 September 2020 (UTC)

Abuse filter helper for Pseudo Classes
- Global user: Pseudo Classes (edits (alt) • CA • global groups • crossactivity • verify 2FA)
Hiya! I'd like to apply for abuse filter helper, because I often view the private abuse filters to understand the settings. As the former rollbacker in zhwiki, I think I've gained a lot of experience in using these rights over the months. Pseudo Classes (talk) 16:53, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- How can you view the private filters when viewing them require a special right, like Abuse filter helper? Also, how did being a rollbacker help you with abuse filters? For what will you use the rights? --MF-W 21:14, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- zh:Special:ListGroupRights says rollbackers have abusefilter-view-private and abusefilter-log-private rights. PiRSquared17 (talk) 22:47, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- I think MF-W's question needs to be answered. @Pseudo Classes: for what will you use the rights?--evrifaessa ❯❯❯ talk 07:15, 10 September 2020 (UTC)
- @MF-Warburg and Evrifaessa: I can detect what can be modified and optimized in abuse filters, and report it to administrators for correction. Pseudo Classes (talk) 00:34, 11 September 2020 (UTC)
- Pseudo Classes, could you provide examples of such correction requests you have done? --Base (talk) 21:48, 13 September 2020 (UTC)

- zh:Special:ListGroupRights says rollbackers have abusefilter-view-private and abusefilter-log-private rights. PiRSquared17 (talk) 22:47, 9 September 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose Sorry, but without the ability to make any changes to filters on any wikis I don't see a clear need for the right to see private filters, which can deal with fairly sensitive content. --DannyS712 (talk) 18:55, 13 September 2020 (UTC)
- I think more information is needed here. You often view the private filters to understand the settings, in what context? Are you trying to improve other filters? Are there specific projects you want to look at? – Ajraddatz (talk) 05:23, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose At this time as no justification was given, though the answer to Ajr's question above could very well change my !vote. --TheSandDoctor Talk 18:08, 14 September 2020 (UTC)
- Not done. No replies to questions and there's no consensus to grant. You are welcome to re-request it in the future, if you think objections above have been solved. Matiia (talk) 18:38, 17 September 2020 (UTC)
