- User:Seeplain I'm new to this. Yesterday (Sun 17.4.16) I drove from Devon to Oxford to join a meeting of Wikipedians at the Four Candles. No-one turned up. What happened? Why is there no forum or email system so we can learn if a meeting is cancelled, or how do we communicate with each other, or maybe communication is not your thing ..? Seeplain (talk) 17:35, 18 April 2016 (UTC)
- communication isn't great. Generally if there are less than 4 people signed up a few days before and event I'm planning to attend I'll go through and contact people individually on their talk pages to check if they are going or not.Geni (talk) 02:04, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- London is a very established group. We usually meet towards the main front entrance. I sometimes cancel at the last minute, but try to update this page. Gordo (talk) 09:52, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- Oxford is an established group too, and I've been to every single one of them. None have been cancelled. Please see the thread at Talk:Meetup/Oxford/38#Not found. --Redrose64 (talk; at English Wikipedia) 10:27, 1 May 2016 (UTC)
- Peak time is usually between 2 and 3pm and the last few meetings have all had more than a dozen attendees. But it may not get going bang on 1pm. WereSpielChequers (talk) 18:47, 7 May 2016 (UTC)
